Vacation Bible School: Making Difference in Southwest Philly’s Youth

Wednesday, August 16th, 2017 – SOUTHWEST PHILLY. A sense of unity of spirit and family permeated The Common Place when 4 Southwest Philadelphia Congregations (Grace Christian Fellowship, New Spirit Community Church, Abiding In The Vine Ministries, and Chosen Generation COGIC) came together to kick off TCP’s second annual Southwest Community Vacation Bible Study. Children and adults alike filled the rooms eager to learn more about the story of God and how he loves us.

This year’s theme, “I’ve Got Talent: Showcasing My Work For Jesus” has so far featured concepts like teamwork, leadership, accountability, and how to help others with God-given gifts. Children also are involved in arts & crafts, and as well music, choir, and other activities. All of this is leads up to VBS’ grand finale which happens on Sunday, August 20th, 2017 @ 5 pm. At this time, all the classes will gather to share what they’ve learned and how this year’s VBS has impacted them. We encourage you to attend and witness first-hand how God is blessing the community with the investment of The Common Place.
