Programs

The Common Place delivers coordinated youth programming that supports academic growth, leadership development, and long-term opportunity for children and teens in Southwest Philadelphia.

Our core initiatives include the Scholars Enrichment Afterschool Program, which provides structured academic support and enrichment during critical out-of-school hours.

A Common Youth Initiative (ACYI), an eight-week service and social impact program that engages youth in hands-on community projects focused on poverty, food insecurity, education, and environmental justice.

Southwest Leadership Continuum, a high school pipeline initiative that strengthens college readiness, workforce exposure, and leadership skills. Together, these programs form a developmental pathway from elementary years through high school, equipping young people with the confidence, skills, and support needed to thrive.
