New Spirit Honors Ted Behr

On Saturday, November 10th, as part of the celebration of New Spirit Community Church’s 22nd year of Ministry at the corner of 58th & Chester, a Banquet was held to commemorate the joyous occasion.

The church has a history of ministry which exceeds 150 years. Some of the photos and articles were on display in the Parlor, which was dedicated to the memorabilia for the evening.

The evening also included live music by The Micha Graves Project and a delicious meal catered by New Spirit’s very own, Ms. Anne Horsey. Inspiring words of encouragement were provided by Pastor Casey Thompson of Wayne Presbyterian Church.

The guest of honor for the evening, Mr. Ted Behr, was presented with a plaque of gratitude and appreciation for his continued commitment and love for the Church and the SW community.  The night was filled with family and friends, smiles, love, and fellowship.

Proceeds from the celebration are will support of the New Spirit Community Church and The Common Place Scholars Program.

Pastor Christopher Holland and the New Spirit Session is excited for what the Lord has in store for the church and welcomes all to come and worship Sunday morning at 11 am.
